Back to Doing What We Do Best.
April 20, 2011
The Trout Hotel reopened its doors on Sunday June 20th 2010. The last few months have seen a lot of hard work and dedication from the moment the floods hit on November 19th 2009. Every member of the team worked so hard to ensure that we got everything ready and were there to greet old and new guests back to the refurbished Trout Hotel. After all this time, it is a joy to see the building once again looking like a hotel and not a building site.
The finished product looks wonderful and myself and all the team were thrilled with the reactions from our guests when they returned to the hotel. All the team are pleased to be back to their ‘normal’ jobs and are doing what we believe we do best, ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable and memorable time at the Trout Hotel. We have had, from the beginning, an excellent team working on the reinstatement of the hotel, too many to mention here. I personally would like to thank them for their support and commitment, I am sure that without this team our opening fate would have been much later. It has now become one of the most exciting places to dine in Cumbria from our award-winning Derwent Restaurant to the all fresco experience of our Terrace Bar and Bistro – we certainly offer something for everyone.
During the warmer months, our riverside gardens also serve as a venue for those wanting to soak up sunshine whilst dining from our extensive lounge menu. And with a fantastic team working tirelessly behind the scenes, the hotel has the capacity to cater for a host of events and occasions.
