Dining
The Hotel has five completely different dining experiences, each offering extensive menus to suit all tastes. And all have one thing in common, delicious, fresh, irresistible food.
Choose from the award-winning Derwent Restaurant, ideal for a romantic dinner, or the Lounge Bar for a light bite snuggled up in front of the fire. There’s also the Terrace Bistro, a more contemporary setting perfect for lunch, and the option of dining al fresco on The Terrace. If you’d prefer something a little more discreet, we also provide private dining in the luxurious surroundings of our Boardroom.
Everything is cooked fresh on the premises by our Head Chef, Alex Hartley, and his dedicated team, all of whom are extremely passionate about the countryside. They source all our produce locally. Everything from cheese made from Cumbrian milk to sensitively farmed, loose housed pigs for our pork. He imaginatively prepares his food using only the freshest seasonal ingredients and devises every dish so it’s in perfect harmony with its surroundings.
