Having visited The Trout Hotel earlier this year, we decided to once again treat ourselves to another visit. I would like to thank your entire team for a most enjoyable stay. The warm friendly greeting from your reception staff is mirrored by each and every staff member we can in to contact with.
You should also be congratulated on your restaurant and the quality of food served. We dined in the restaurant on our first evening, which was a real pleasure. On our second night we decided to eat in the bar area, again we were not disappointed, great quality and an interested and diverse choice of food on the menu.
The location of your hotel is perfect; we enjoyed the tranquil setting alongside the river, and enjoyed a gentle stroll into Cockermouth.
On reflection we certainly did spend two very enjoyable days at The Trout.

I have lost count of the times I have stayed at the Trout whilst making business trips to the area over the past 2 years. I would not stay anywhere else. I have been treated very well every time. Great hotel going forward, lovely staff. Comfort in Cumbria. Being recommended by me.
